Katie & Drew Married!

I have so many favorite images from Katie and Drew’s outdoor wedding at the Lodges of Gettysburg.  The weather was perfect and very mild for July, the lighting in the woods was magical, and the setting was just beautiful.  Katie & Drew are such a fun and easy going couple and I loved every minute of capturing their big day.  They chose to do a “first look” before the ceremony, and those photos ended up being some of my favorites from the day!  The ceremony took place on the dock in front of the lake, and the reception was held in the ballroom.   DJC Productions did a fabulous job getting everyone on the dance floor, and had some fun games that I had never seen before to get the party started.  And once everyone was up, I loved the energy on the dance floor! Thank you so much Katie and Drew for allowing me to be a part of your special day!

Cate & Chad Married

Cate and Chad had a perfect day for their outdoor wedding at Beech Springs Farm in Orrtanna, PA.  The sun was shining, the sky was blue, and it was the perfect temperature, very different from the original forecast earlier in the week!  I loved all of the little details of the day, and most were made by the very talented and creative couple.  A red tandem bike held the programs for the ceremony, and we had lots of fun using it for photos after!  During the cocktail hour, guests enjoyed music from the live band, yard games, and amazing food from Fabios catering.  Cate and Chad made their grand entrance into the reception on the bike to get the party started.  Oh and we had to take a few photos to show off the fact that Cate’s wedding dress had pockets!  How fun is that?!  Thank you Cate & Chad for allowing me to be a part of your big day!

Bryan & Nancy Engaged!

This past weekend I was honored to be a part of something very special… a proposal!!!  I have known Bryan and Nancy for forever, and they are the sweetest couple, so I was thrilled when Bryan asked if I would photograph his proposal to Nancy.  Since Bryan just got a new apartment, he told Nancy he wanted a few updated photos of the two of them for his new place.  So, I met them on Saturday morning for our “photo shoot”  and part way through Nancy found out what was really going on when Bryan popped the big question!  Of course she was thrilled and of course she said YES!  And check out that beautiful ring, nice job Bryan!  I know I say it all of the time, but I really do have the best job!  Being a part of happy moments like this fill my heart with joy.  Congratulations Bryan and Nancy!  Let the wedding planning begin!

Jamie & Jerry Married 6-7-14

Jamie and Jerry had a beautiful day to celebrate with family and friends at their wedding at Beech Springs Farm in Orrtanna, PA.  I had been to the farm several times before, but I was blown away by the beautiful decorations, table settings, and all of the little details that set the scene for their country styled wedding.  Jamie and Jerry are such a sweet couple, and they had a beautiful ceremony that even included their guests saying some vows to the new couple; which I thought was something different and really meaningful.  After the ceremony, the guests enjoyed a delicious meal catered by Biggerstaff’s Catering, followed by a night of dancing!  Thank you Jamie and Jerry for allowing me to be a part of your big day!

One Year Anniversary Session: Laura & Pete

Laura & Pete are about to celebrate their one year anniversary and decided to do an anniversary session.  We were all so excited for their session!  We had chosen a beautiful location for our picnic theme, and the perfect time of day to have soft evening light with a sunset.  Laura ordered an anniversary cake, cookies like they had at their reception, and even a set of Mickey & Mini mouse cupcakes to represent their honeymoon at Disney World.  Unfortunately, Mother Nature had other plans for the evening.  We arrived at our location to dark skies and crazy winds.  It was just a matter of time before the skies opened up, but we decided we were going to make the session happen.  We laughed the whole time as we battled the wind, and this was one session we will never forget!  Luckily we were able to get all of the photos in, and as we ended with a cake smash the rain poured down.  I absolutely love the last photo of the cake smash.  It just shows what an incredible couple Laura and Pete are.  Covered in cake, standing in the pouring rain, and laughing like crazy, so in love!  Congratulations on your first year of marriage, and wishing you many  more years of love, laughter, and happily ever after!
